THE POWER OF THE TONGUE (Proverbs 18:20 and 21)

The bible clarifies that your tongue has the power to kill or to give life; it has the power to bless or to curse. Death and life is in the power of the tongue. A person gets what he speaks whether it is good or bad. When one speaks a word, he sows a seed in the realm of the spirit, and he will reap what he sows. When we speak bad things, things that against Gods word, satan performs our words against us to bring disaster in our lives. When we speak good things in our lives, things that are in line with Gods word, God fulfills our words of faith for our good.

The spiritual world is always listening to us, and it performs all that we say for our good or destruction. God performs the good things that we speak for our benefit; satan performs the bad things that we speak for our destruction. Your words release these two kingdoms to work in your life. Words of faith bring the manifestation of Gods kingdom in your life, while words of fear bring the manifestation of Satan’s kingdom. Therefore, a believer has to keep saying only what God has said about him in his word.
Your tongue is the key that will take you where you want to go. When you believe, and confess, you will receive what you have confessed (Mark 11: 22-24). You cannot rise above your faith confession. Your tongue can bring you down in life, or hold you to your current position or lift you up to a higher position in life. It all depends on what you confess. Therefore, maintain your confession of where you want to be in life. Write down your vision of where you want to be in life, and maintain the confession that you are there already by faith, then you will start living in that position. When you say something, you are sowing a seed, and at the right time, you will reap a harvest if you persist in saying it. So, if you have sown bad words, you can erase them by speaking good words continuously and persistently. If you have bad or fearful thoughts, be quiet about them, do not speak them, when you do that, you let them die before they are birthed or before they are sown. Speak only what God speaks about you. Again, we should always bless with our tongues, and not curse (Romans 12:14). And never joke against the word of God because the spiritual realm does not recognize jokes.
