What is the fight of faith?

We will begin by describing what the fight of faith is not. The fight of faith is not fighting against satan and the kingdom of darkness because that fight was won long time ago. A believer does not try to fight satan but walks in victory over satan because Jesus Christ won that battle a long time ago for our good. The fight of faith is not praying hard for things to happen or for God to do something and it is also not fighting the brethren.

The fight of faith is standing on the word of God until what God has said about you in His word happens in your life. It is maintaining good thoughts and your confessions of faith even if circumstances are contrary. It is called the fight of faith because these circumstances will force you to say that which you see with your eyes as opposed to what you believe. The truth is that a believer can never be defeated unless he speaks death and defeat with his own mouth. As long as the believer maintains his good confession of faith, there will be continuous victory in his life because the power of life and death is on our tongues. However, the believer must spend time in Gods word and prayer and related materials in order to win his/her fight of faith. An example is that of a Christian woman who received news from the doctor that she had only six months to live because of the cancer she had, this woman stood on the word of God and spoke healing in her life. After three months she went for a check up and found her state worse then it was the first time; she continued speaking life and what she believed, which was the word of God. Again after two months she went back to the doctor and was told there to start preparing for her funeral because her time on earth was limited. Most people give up at this point, but she held on to her faith and spoke life. She confessed healing and spoke that she would live because God had healed her. She maintained her faith confession in contrary circumstances, against what she was told and what she heard from a lot of people. Friends and family members started showing her how bad her health had become; even satan tried filling her thoughts with death. But she refused by staying strong in the word of God and her confession of faith. When she was left with only a week, she went back for a check up and the doctors were surprised to learn that the cancer had stopped spreading all over her body, After a month when she went back for another check up, there was no cancer left in her body. This woman had won the fight of faith because she stood on the truth of the word of God concerning her life without wavering. This is the fight of faith, to stand on the word of God without wavering until you see your victory. The fight of faith will give you victory in all circumstances. Fight the fight of faith for your family, finances etc. During the time when you are fighting the fight of faith for your health, don’t quit using your medicine all at once, especially if you are a beginner in the faith walk. Medicine will help your body to be strong, but keep your faith confession and build your faith. As your faith grows, you will discover that you don’t need medicine anymore because your faith will produce positive results in your body. Taking medicine won’t prevent the healing process of faith.
