THE CALLING OF THE SON OF GOD

If you are ask most believers why they are born again, they will say, ‘I am born again to serve God’ or ‘win the lost. This is answer is not correct. If you would ask any parent why they had children, you will find that no parent makes children because they want servants. If they need someone to serve at their home, they hire a person.

It’s the same thing with us. God did not give birth to us because he wanted servants. He already has lots of servants which are the angels. But God gave birth to you because of the following reasons. These are also the reasons why man was created in the beginning:

1. God wants a big family of sons and daughters. Therefore you are born again so that you can be part of Gods family. God is a Father by nature, and therefore he needs children as a Father, this brings satisfaction to God as a Father.

2. You were made to have a relationship and fellowship with God. God made us in the same way as He is so that we can delight in having fellowship with him and knowing him in an intimate way. Our relationship with God is that one of Father and son relationship.

3. You were created to praise and worship God. God wants us to see his beauty and greatness, and praise Him for what he has done for us and Who He is in our lives.

4. You were created to receive Gods love. God is full of love, and love has to be given for it to be complete. God wants to give love; this is why he made a person in his image and likeness. He made us like Him so that we can receive and enjoy His love and also love Him back. This brings satisfaction to Gods heart. The biggest way that God demonstrated his love is through the death of his son, Jesus Christ.

5. You were created to be part of the body and the bride of Christ. From the very beginning, it was Gods plan to have a church in which Jesus Christ would be its head (Colossians 1:16).

You are called to be like Jesus Christ. God wants his sons and daughters to grow, until they are like Jesus Christ in all things. We are called to be like him, and we have to desire to be like him. God wants the earth to be filled with His personality so that the earth would be filled with His Glory. (Romans 8:29-31)
