This is where we speak about the ministry of delivering people from the bondage of satan (The devil and demons).

The ministry of delivering people from the bondage of demons is very important in the work that Jesus Christ came to do of destroying the works of satan (1John 3:8). All believers can deliver people from the bondage of evil spirits, which is that of demons. When we speak of satan, demons or evil spirits we speak of one thing. When we speak of the devil in this book, we speak of the leader of the kingdom of darkness and demons, but he too is still called satan (we have explained these things in detail in the topic of the devil and demons).
Most of the oppressions, diseases and people’s problems are caused by demons. Demons are able to abuse a person from the outside of him, or on his physical body, and then a person can get diseases or pains or get unexplainable things on his body. This can happen to saved people if they allow it. It can also happen to those who are not saved. But saved people have the authority to stop demonic oppressions any time they want to because demons don’t have a right to operate in their lives unless they allow them. Demons can enter a persons soul (mind), and then a person suffers from depression or act in an abnormal way. They can speak through the voice of that person while they are still in his mind especially when they are confronted by the power of God. That person with a demon in his mind is still a normal person when that demon does not manifest itself through him; this situation can happen to both the unsaved and the saved if they are weak in faith or if they allow it. The person in that state is not possessed by a demon in his spirit, but he is oppressed by the demon in his mind.

But demons can enter an unsaved person’s human spirit. This is called demon possession. This is the worst kind of demonic bondage. This can only happen to the unsaved people because the spirit of a saved person is the temple of the Holy Spirit. These kind of people who are demon possessed do not have the power to do anything by themselves except what the demon wants. Demons can live in one person in large numbers. Most of demon possessed people are in jails or mental hospitals.
Demons are also able to influence and oppress both the saved and unsaved people to do and speak things that might get them in trouble. But this can only happen to born again people if they allow it to happen.
